Son of Chandy Geevarghese and Mariyamma.

He had his schooling in Changanacherry. He then got a job in Eastern Hills, but did not continue long there. He then proceeded to his mother’s home town, Alleppey. He worked in Day Rose Mill and later started a provision shop with a partner. He then focused on plantation by cultivating cashew, lemon, grass in Malabar. He had to sell it off. While working in Alleppey he married Eliyamma of Shrambikal, Vettuparambu, Muttar and stayed for some time in Alleppey. Later he shifted to Changanacherry. His mother expired in 1939, so he remained home and was engaged in agriculture and also has some business. His father expired in 1945. He continued his activities for 10 more years until he expired on 22 July 1950. His wife passed away in 1993.
