Son of Varghese Thoma. He was engaged in agriculture from a very young age.. He married Rosamma of Kurisummoodu family, Changanacherry. He then settled in Pattathimukku. The original owner of this property had jaggery business so his house was known as Chakkarapurayidom. He was able to do agriculture in 2 acres of land by growing coconut trees and many other yielding crops.
