He was the third son of O P Chandy. While he was  two years old, his father expired. He passed  matriculation from S B High School.He married Maarykutty of Pallathusery of Champakulam. He served in Indian Army during second World War during 1941 -1946.On release from army he joinded in his brother's firm  in Cochin,Later he returned to Changanacherry and started an agriculture farm.He expired in 1984.
