- In 1926 he joined Kottayam petty Seminary by call of God.
- After 2 years he moved to Magallapuzha Major Seminary.
- Ordained in 1934.
- As per his father’s wish he decided not to have the traditional custom of receiving golden ring as present from relatives on ordination ceremony.
- He served a Asst vicar in St. Michaels’ church, Thathampally from 1935-1937
- Following this, he served an vicar Pulimkunnu church, Changanacherry Metropolitan church, Edathua Church and Kainady, Kulathoor, Paipad, Thottampally, Champakulam, Ponkunnam and Koothrapally churches.
- In between from 1956 to 1959 he was appointed as reporter of Parel Petty Seminary during Archbishop Karukatt's period.
- On 10 March 1979 he fell sick and rested in Parel Priest Home.
- In 1972 he moved to his younger brother Kunjachen's residence for homely care and treatment.
- His health deteriorated slowly and on 21th March 1982 called for eternal rest by God Almighty.
- He was buried in Changanacherry cathedral cemetry.
- Archbishop Joseph Powethil and 30 other priests offered mass to commemorate his 40th day of demise.
