OC Joseph named as Kuttichen at home, was the elsest son of his parents Primary education at S.B High School .Passed matriculation from St.Joseph College, Trichy. Then discontinued and started involving in family matters. Got married to Mariyamma, Palakunnel in 1908 at the age of 21. Following his father's death in 1916,he had to look after familymatters and  property. Family property was divided between Kuttichen and younger brother Vakkachen. Kuttichen got 10 acres of land and 40 'Para" paddy field in Kunnakad as his share.  He was very active in public life as well. At a time during King's rule, when Muncipal Election and administration were at their peak ,Kuttichen's policy was  that protest and strike were the only tools when reconciliation and peaceful methods failed.. He was strong contastant during Muncipal Elections. From 1926 to 1928 he wasMuncipal Councellor. From 1928 to 1930,   he served as Muncipa Vice  President. He died at an young age of 45 on 4 November 1932.
