He had his schooling in SB High School. He then went to ombay to meet O.V. Mathew, his brother for a job and stayed there for one year. He then returned to Changanacherry and started a textileshop and an aluminumshop for sale of aluminum vessels. He remained in this business for about 2 or 3 years and also engaged in agriculture. He married Kunjamma of Kallukulam family in 1934. He also worked as agent in A. V. Thomas and Co., branch in Changanacherry. Later he started business of his own in a shop in Changanacherry. He then constructed a house in 1944 in Cherukarakunnu and he utilized his time fully in agriculture. He cultivated coconut trees, pepper, tapioca etc. He also utilized his skills and set up business in rubber, molasses oil, fertilizer etc. he also had an oil mill and flour mill. Outhakutty expired on 7th January 1994 and his wife passed away on 28th October 1997. | |
