Marykutty  was born on 4th Feb 1948. She married V. J. Joseph of Vadakkel family, Bharananganam on 13th September 1971. Her husband retired as the Deputy Divisional Manager of Syndicate Bank. They have one son and one daughter.

Daughter Veena Jose is married to Alfred Vinod Antony, Ahirvathathil. Veena and Alfred have 3 children - Aarathy Vinod Ashirvathathil born on 21/03/2006, Antony Vinod Ashirvathathil born on 22/03/2010 and Alphonse Vinod Ashirvathathil born on 22/07/2012.

Their son Vinu Jose is a Software Engineer and is married to Clare G Kavalam. .They have a daughter by name  Helen Vinu Vadakel born on  16/02/2015
