He had his studies at Parel School, SB High School and SB College. After passing M. Sc in Organic Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, he joined as Lecturer in Mar Ivenios College, Trivandrum. In 1962 he accepted a job from West Germany and from there he passed D.Sc in Polymer Chemistry. Later he worked as Scientist in NASA, USA. He remained unmarried and was a lover of nature at photography. An intellectual person of high calibre, he considered books as his valuable asset. 

On returning, home, he stayed with his mother. Joice expired on 22 June 2000.
