• Eldest Son of Varghese Chandy. 
• Born in 1878. He was in his teen age when his father died of rabies
• On his  father's death ,he took charge of grandfather's property which included 5 acresof land looked after by his father and paddy field. As per the will of his grandfather executed in 1905, the properties were divided between he and his brother. He sold off his properties to clear the debts he had, then moved to Ithithanam.
• Later he settled at Champakulam with his daughter
• Thoma married Mariyamma of Chalackal Iithithanam
