• His father died when Chandy was only one year old.
• He grew in mother's house at Changanacherry Market.
• After studiesin SB High School, and with the encouragement given by his mother's brother, a business man by himself, Chandy started  wholesale business of jaggery and salt for almost  20 years 
• As competition became severe, in 1950 he started a Medical Shop by name Bright Medicals
• Married Kunjamma of Payyampally Chackalackal family on 3rd February 1938 and settled in his new house built in his father's property near Railway Station.
• His son Zacharias also joined and expanded the Medical shop
• He was Secretary Travancore State Congress, Member All Kerala Catholic Congress, Member Chanaganacherry Metropolitian Parish Church Council, Secretary Changancherry Merchant Association ,President, Edward Memorial Town Club
• He was President of Vincent De-Paul Society, Marymount Church, Member of Vincent De-Paul Society Central Council, Vijayapuram Diocese
• Chandichen expired on 26 February 2000 and wife passed away on 1 January 2001
