After matriculation he entered in business. He was known by his pet name Kuttappan. He had proved his talent in cultural activities. He was deeply involved in Politics as well. During Liberation strike, he was arrested and put in jail.

He married Sosamma of Thekkemathilemkal family, Thiruvalla. Being the youngest son, he stayed in Moola Kudumbam (Chandi Veedu). From 1970 onwards, he was member of DCC and he expired on 7th June 1981at the age of 68. His wife Sosamma passed away on 2nd May 1993.
